Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager Corporate Services will lead pivotal functions within the organization, with the ability to have impact and influence across the entire Council.

Forming an integral member of the Executive Leadership team, the role is responsible for providing strategic and trustworthy financial and corporate performance advice to the Chief Executive Officer and Council while ensuring the internal business units maintain efficient management practices and deliver on their transformation agenda. Furthermore, the General Manager will have overall responsibility for the Annual Corporate Planning Cycle, including the development of the Council Plan, Annual Plan and budget and reporting to the Audit and Risk Committee.

Leading a high performing, highly regarded team of professionals, the General Manager will actively participate in strategic planning and organizational decision making to ensure delivery of cost effective quality services and advice.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need be a proven leader who is CA or CPA Qualified and with proven experience in the Local Government sector. You demonstrate strong community values, are politically astute and have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to engage effectively with Executive peers and Councillors. You are highly regarded for your inspirational Corporate Services leadership and high standards of democratic governance and bring experience driving continuous improvement through effective strategies, systems and processes.
