Southern Rural Water (SRW) manages rural water across the southern half of Victoria from the Great Divide to the coast and from the South Australian border in the west and the NSW border in the east. SRW is a government-owned statutory corporation, operating with offices across the southern half of the state to deliver water services that support agricultural production, electricity generation, and the provision of bulk water for urban water businesses.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager Asset Futures will lead the strategic management and development of SRW's asset base including planning, controlling, capital delivery expenditure, asset optimisation and dam safety. SRW has a diverse capital projects portfolio to deliver efficient services to meet customer needs for the future. The GM will ensure all capital infrastructure and associated services are managed through an efficient delivery framework of high-performing teams, processes and systems to support the organisation's vision of providing value for customers and community through excellence in rural water management.
You will be an engaging and proactive leader, with extensive experience in strategic management within an infrastructure and resource management portfolio. You will know how to drive performance outcomes and achieve results within a highly regulated operating environment. Your extensive technical expertise in operational services planning or asset management, including the development and implementation of strategies, systems and transformational projects will underpin your ability to be successful in this role.
As a key member of the executive team at SRW, you will provide significant leadership across the organisation to assist with developing and enabling the organisation's strategic objectives, guiding cultural transformation, ensuring empowerment, accountability and delivery that will position Southern Rural Water to be future ready.
