The Infants' Home Child and Family Services has been supporting the community for nearly 150 years. Today the organisation provides services to children and families, particularly those living with vulnerabilities or who have additional needs, from its five integrated early education and intervention centres in Ashfield, its expansive family day care service and its broad community services.

About the Role - Building a fit-for-purpose Future

As a for-purpose charitable organisation, the health, safety and wellbeing of the children is absolute priority and the appointment of the Finance & Business Services Manager will allow for further investment and operational focus that will enhance lives.

This individual will be responsible for leading the Finance Team and core business functions including HR, IT and Fundraising. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will join the leadership team in the preparation and delivery of strategic plans and refined operational processes to ensure the modernisation of the current model and services infrastructure.

Whilst supporting and inspiring your team, this role will be a hands-on role that requires ownership of the management and financial accounts, statutory reporting requirements as well as business case modelling, feasibility studies and forecasting for investment and potential acquisitions.

Your focus on Business Services will include responsibility for:

  • Commercial contracts and managing suppliers;
  • Implementing the IT strategy to modernise and expand technological capabilities; and
  • Supporting the HR function.

A strong focus on fundraising and developing revenue streams whilst managing existing investments will also be a key requirement.

In short, this dynamic role has a broad remit that reaches across the organisation and will be pivotal in developing best practice initiatives and building a platform of continued success.

Candidate Profile - Is this You?

The successful candidate will be CA or CPA qualified accountant who has motivated and inspired teams to deliver a track-record of success in leading transformational initiatives and driving change.

In addition to the commercial and accounting responsibilities outlined above you must demonstrate an exceptional ability to listen, communicate and connect with all stakeholders to support them on this proud journey.
