Job Description

Housing Choices Australia is a national Not for Profit housing provider engaging in commercial and business development strategies to achieve social impact and justice for vulnerable Australians. Housing approximately 5000 people across 4 states, HCA works with partners to build homes in environments that foster vibrant and caring communities. In addition, HCA aims to inform the policy environment by supporting actions with evidence and encourage, innovate and continuously adapt to deal with an ever changing environment.

Working closely with the Managing Director, the Executive Officer will provide professional advice, guidance, planning and support to Housing Choices, ensuring an effective business strategy support service which is resident focused and outcome based. Supporting the Executive Team, the Executive Officer will provide oversight on project status, prepare presentations to assist with advocacy and influencing work, conduct research on wider policy context, assist with Quality Assurance and liaise with State Managers and the Business Development Manager in regards to new opportunities and partnerships.

Tertiary qualified in social, community, government or management disciplines, the successful Executive Officer will have experience in the management of an Executive office, as an Executive Officer, Senior Officer Manager, Policy/Research Officer or similar. Previous experience with schedule, financial, technical and risk aspects of projects will be essential as will the ability to provide accurate reports and presentations for the Executive Team. Being highly organised and adaptable, having the ability to influence and engage with key stakeholders, make sound decisions and initiative in identifying solutions are essential skills. This role will require a values-driven, strong communicator and collaborator who works with a high level of integrity.
