- Key Stakeholder Engagement Role
- Support Young People & Maximise Their Opportunities
- Initially a 12 Month Contract - Open to Secondment Options
The Goldfields Local Learning & Employment Network (GLLEN) acts as a broker to form partnerships to maximise opportunities for young people (10-19 years) to make a successful transition through school to further education, training and employment. The GLLEN builds partnerships between employers, training and education providers to create opportunities, pathways and sustainable support systems for young people within the region. Operating across the City of Greater Bendigo, Mount Alexander Shire and Central Goldfields Shire region the GLLEN is recognised across the state as a leader within this space. With the upcoming retirement of a well-known and respected leader, the GLLEN is seeking an ambitious and passionate person to build off this legacy.
Reporting to the Chair of Committee of Management, the Executive Officer will perform a diverse role ranging from strategic stakeholder management through to operational work plans. A major priority over the next 12 months will be to both continue to deliver on the amazing work of the organisation, whilst also advocating to the Department of Education & Training for the continuation of funding for the programs of work. Key to this will be further evidence of the strength of school - industry partnerships and a highly engaged stakeholder network. As a facilitator of connections, you will spend a large proportion of your time managing and engaging with a broad array of stakeholders and partners across industry, education and Local Government to name a few.
Highly regarded for your interpersonal skills, you bring proven experience in managing effective relationships and have been known to connect people and opportunities. You'd consider yourself a strong 'all-rounder' and able to work both strategically as well operationally and are excited by the opportunity to make a positive impact in young people's lives. A background in educational and demonstrated leadership experience would both be highly valued in this position.
Note: This role is initially a 12 month contract due to the funding arrangements for the GLLEN, however there is the potential for an extension. As such secondment arrangements and leave without pay will be considered for the term of the initial contract.
