Located in the beautiful regional town of Warrnambool, EHDVSI assists the community by providing a safe and respectful environment with high quality, culturally sensitive and best practice programs and services. These services are underpinned by feminist philosophy and are supported by a team of passionate and empowering staff.
Reporting to the Board, the Executive Officer will be operationally responsible for leading EHDVSI to provide specialist family violence services to the community, while achieving its vision and current strategic plan. Leading a Senior Management team, the Executive Officer will ensure the organisation is well positioned for future growth, identifying innovative service solutions and potential opportunities through partnerships and alliances and building an integrated response to family violence in the region. With the recent announcement of the Warrnambool Orange Door to be established in the next 12 months, EHDVSI will be on a path of growth to meet the needs of the community. The Executive Officer will drive a culture of encouragement, innovation and best practice, whilst ensuring an inclusive, supportive and respectful environment.
The Executive Officer will be an energetic, compassionate and consultative leader, inspiring and developing high performing teams. With strong communication skills, the Executive Officer will have demonstrated experience leading in a complex funding environment within a social, welfare or health organisation. The EO will have a clinical background, including trauma informed care, and have a strong understanding of issues relating to family violence within a social, political and economic context. Experience in a closely aligned client-focused, not-for-profit organisation will also be highly regarded.
