Reporting to an ambitious and driven CEO, you will play an integral role in ensuring Administrators are properly supported in their roles and high standards of governance are maintained in Council processes. Providing effective leadership and management to Council's Administrator Support and Governance Processes staff, you will ensure compliance with relevant legislation and proactive management of operational risks. Working with stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide timely and accurate reports ensuring business units deliver tangible outcomes to the community in line with objectives and Annual Plan Key Performance Indicators. This role will attend Council and executive management meetings to provide professional advice and will also represent Council at public forums as required.

Key to your success in this positon is the strong senior governance and leadership experience you have gained, ideally in local government or an aligned public sector environment. With relevant tertiary qualifications and proven experience, you will be a key player in ensuring governance practice displays best practice. With an ability to provide high quality advice and work collaboratively with stakeholders of all levels, you will leverage your strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure governance and compliance is understood by all stakeholders, and embedded across the organisation more broadly. As a proven leader, you will drive sound decision making practices. Tertiary qualifications in Law, Governance or a related field is required for this position.
