The role

Reporting to the newly appointed Director Development and Growth, the Manager Development Facilitation will form a key member of the team, providing strategic and empowering leadership of the Traffic and Transport; Development Facilitation; Airport Management; Growth and Development and Statutory Planning operations. You will play an integral role in commercialising the Ballart airport and in taking the division through an innovative period of change to enhance the utilisation of technology. Furthermore, you will work collaboratively across Council to form relationships and influence outcomes while forming credible relationships with your external stakeholder groups including state government agencies, determining authorities and developers.

About you

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the City of Ballarat are seeking an engaging, innovative and strategic leader who has experience and a strong understanding of DCP (Development Contribution Plan) and Statutory Planning in a local government or statutory planning environment. You are adept at forming credible and collaborative relationships (including through virtual means) with your internal and external stakeholders. You pride yourself on your innovative thinking and ability to drive efficiencies specifically through the use of technology. Furthermore, you are highly regarded for your exceptional people leadership and ability to cultivate high performing teams.
