We recently reviewed and realigned our operating model to reduce management and administrative overhead and this critical leadership role will ensure we have the capability and capacity to support the community to recover from Covid-19.

Reporting to the GM Customer, Operations and Infrastructure, this role forms a critical part of the senior leadership network at City of Port Phillip. Leading a highly capable team across a diverse range of services including project delivery, waste and recycling, transport, parks and environment you will promote a culture that drives innovation and is focused on maximising value for the organisation and community. In a context of significant population growth, this role will lead the development and implementation for future service requirements including the waste strategy to ensure that services help deliver Council's sustainability targets. You will champion best practice customer service, actively listening to the needs of the customer to ensure that the physical infrastructure of the City enhances the quality of life for the community and its many visitors.

Key to your success will be proven leadership experience in complex service delivery organisations with both an operational and strategic focus. You will have led diverse teams across all aspects of the development and delivery of a range of projects and have a thorough understanding of procurement, financial management, contract management, OH&S legislation and the relationship between planning, construction, operations and asset management. You will possess strong communication skills that enable you to collaborate with the executive leadership team and the wider organisation and to ensure community engagement and stakeholder relationships are developed and enhanced. You are a motivational leader who is highly regarded for your ability to empower teams to deliver a higher level of performance and output to the community.
