About the Role
As part their ongoing commitment to elevate governance, and ensure a continued focus on risk management, the Archdiocese of Brisbane has created a new role within the leadership team. The role of Executive Director- Governance, Legal and Risk will be a key advisor to the Vicar General, the broader Archdiocese and its agencies. You will focus on providing strategic direction and driving a coherent and integrated, Risk, Legal and Governance Framework, in this multi-regulatory organisation. You will lead a passionate and diverse team responsible for areas such as Business Continuity and Risk, Legal Services, Policy Development, Safeguarding, Data Protection and Complaints Management.
To be successful in this role, you will have developed, implemented and led a similar function(s) in a large complex environment. You will be a strong, inclusive leader who takes a consultative approach to high-level stakeholder engagement whilst ensuring alignment with the values of the Catholic Church.
