Job Description

Be part of something great - now is an exciting time to join GOTAFE's Executive Leadership team and contribute to their contemporary and innovative change!

Reporting to the CEO, the role of Executive Director, will suit a strategic and innovative executive leader who demonstrates strong business acumen and who embraces lifelong learning, professional development and education, but doesn't necessarily need to come from the education sector. You will be a collaborative executive who contributes to the success of the whole organisation, not just your division, and who demands high standards of accountability and performance. You like to challenge status quo and embrace change when it has the potential to benefit your organisation and key stakeholder groups (internal and external).

Charged with developing and implementing contemporary and innovative strategies that are responsive to changing student, industry and community needs, the Executive Director will be instrumental in ensuring that GOTAFE provides the best possible education, training and learning for all student cohorts across all education sectors and is a place where students want to be.

Furthermore, the Executive Director will be a natural people person who confidently and actively seeks and cultivates partnerships with industry groups, community bodies and government departments.

About GOTAFE
Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE (GOTAFE) has a long history as an education provider in picturesque and evolving Northern Victoria. Located across multiple sites (Shepparton, Wangaratta, Benalla, Seymour and Wallan), GOTAFE has been an intrinsic part of their local communities since the 1920s.

Their strength as a TAFE provider comes from their experienced staff and quality-assured training programs, preparing the next generation of skilled workers to continue the success of the region. GOTAFE works directly with local industries to make sure their students graduate with the knowledge and capability to succeed in the workforce and build their careers.

As the world changes, from an industrial economy to one fuelled by ideas and knowledge, GOTAFE is transitioning into a contemporary, cutting-edge and innovative organisation, delivering high quality education so that their students are well equipped and prepared for the future.
