The Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA) provides the critical link between the community and emergency services for all "000" calls. Partnering with Emergency Management Victoria and Victoria's Police, Ambulance, and Fire and SES agencies, ESTA facilitates community driven outcomes every day of the year. The provision of life-saving emergency call- taking and dispatch for all Victorians requires dedicated professional people and sophisticated technical systems.

The Executive Director - Emergency Communications Services is a newly defined role reporting directly to the CEO and part of the executive leadership team. It is responsible for delivering state- wide emergency communications for Victoria by providing strategic leadership of 800 people in the provision of improved, innovative and future focused emergency communications services to the community.

Leading a high performing teams, you will be responsible for implementing ESTA's strategic plan and vision with a strong focus on delivering community safety and health outcomes. You will partner with emergency service organisations' to establish and strengthen the current emergency communications model and lead change and innovation for the future. With full support of the CEO, you will be responsible for driving the new organisational strategy, cultural change and new ways of working. These changes will greatly impact the community allowing direct contact to desired emergency services through alternative means. Your role will also see you develop and facilitate relationships with key stakeholders and promote engagement amongst community groups, emergency service organisations' and emergency management bodies.

To ensure your success in this role, you will be a strong consultative executive senior leader with a proven track record in driving an organisations strategic plan including cultural change and transformation within a complex unionised mission critical, public facing customer focused environment. You thrive when it comes to leading large operational teams in surge and crisis situations and bringing best practice ideas and innovative ways of working to influence outcomes. You have a unique natural ability to create an environment where your people are highly motivated to over achieve and assist the organisation achieve its objectives. Experience gained from within the airlines, defence, health, utilities and emergency services sectors will be highly regarded
