About the Company
Davidson have been engaged by EPEC Group in order to support them in their exciting growth plans. Due to planned growth and a significant pipeline of work, EPEC Group are looking to appoint an Engineering Manager to join their team based in Brisbane. Established in 2019, EPEC's core management team have over 50 years of combined experience and provide expert consulting services into the power and energy sector Australia wide.

About the Role
As the Engineering Manager you will play a significant part as a senior leader within the business, as well as develop, mentor and provide technical guidance to a team of Engineers. You will be accountable for delivering highly technical engineering works associated with power & energy projects from concept to completion. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of Engineers across power systems, design and development;
  • Being a key point of contact in providing expert technical engineering solutions for clients across the wind, solar, storage & electrical infrastructure sectors;
  • Providing advanced technical assessment for R1 Registration & R2 testing;
  • Providing technical oversight and due diligence during GPS studies;
  • Liaising with the Network Service Providers & AEMO for connection agreements

About You
To be successful in the role of Engineering Manager you will show significant experience within the Australian engineering market, specifically within the power and energy sector. You will also possess:

  • Relevant tertiary engineering qualifications
  • Current RPEQ
  • Working knowledge of various power system modelling software including PSSE & PSCAD
  • Demonstrated capability dealing with HV electrical systems
  • Proven knowledge of relevant grid compliance codes
  • Competent understanding of testing procedures with primary and secondary plant
  • Experience in report writing and familiarity with office systems
  • A passion for health, safety and environment
  • Strong technical, leadership and interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong attention to detail
  • Hold the appropriate entitlement to work in Australia & New Zealand at date of application (Permanent Resident of Australia or an Australian Citizen or New Zealand Citizen
