EPA Victoria works on behalf of all Victorians to protect the health and wellbeing of our communities and our environment from the harmful effects of pollution and waste, preserving our state's liveability and prosperity, now and always. The organisation aims to be a world class regulator with an emphasis on harm prevention. EPA Victoria provides community, industry, and government with a trusted, science-based voice on environmental and public environmental matters.
The Victorian Government has endorsed and funded an extensive package of reforms to underpin the transformation of EPA Victoria. The changes being implemented are the largest since the formation of the Authority in the 1970s so now is an exciting time to join EPA Victoria.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this newly created Director role, will be an authoritative leader responsible for designing and operationalising the significant organisation-wide reform program to enable EPA to deliver world class environmental regulation. This will require renewal of EPA's regulatory doctrine including its philosophy, strategies, policies, guidance, systems, processes and procedures. Furthermore you will work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders and will lead the teams that are accountable for EPA's regulatory doctrine.
To be successful in this role, you will be a respected regulatory professional, highly regarded as a thought leading in this field and someone who thrives in a transformational environment. You will demonstrate proven experience empowering teams to succeed and in leading significant change or continuous improvement. You know how to navigate complex operating environments, taking account of community, industry and government stakeholders and you have a demonstrated track record with credibility that enables you to 'hit the ground running' with competence and confidence.
This is a career defining opportunity to lead the transformation of EPA Victoria's regulatory capability and effectiveness. Don't hesitate to apply today by uploading your CV or for a confidential discussion, please call Melanie Pecanek on (03) 9929 9587 or Jarrod McLauchlan on (03) 9929 9515.
