Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) is one of the largest TAFEs in Victoria with ten campuses stretching from Docklands to Echuca. Reporting to the Executive Director Foundation, Health and Community, the Director of Foundation and Pathways is responsible for a diverse and complex learning portfolio, including Work Education, VCAL, AMEP, Vocational English, ELICOS, Teacher Training and Learner Support. It is crucial this education offering is promoted to be the first choice for learners, employers and the community to assist Victoria's most vulnerable and set them up to have a brighter future. More broadly your portfolio will have the necessary specialists to deliver the curriculum and ensure teacher development and practices are being met in order to build a culture of teaching excellence. As a Senior leader, you will make sure the design and delivery of programs in the portfolio incorporates innovation practices that improve quality, cost and the overall experience for students. At the forefront of everything you do, you will require a focus on education quality and both regulatory and contractual compliance for the Foundations and Pathways portfolio and ensure accreditation for all programs are maintained across multiple regulatory environments.

As an experienced collaborative senior leader, you pride yourself on your strong understanding and experience gained from within the education sector leading a diverse range of education portfolios across TAFE, Universities or Secondary Schools. You pride yourself on the ability to set high goals for your team to achieve and ensure they have the necessary support to deliver the best quality programs and resources to students. You are an experienced leader with proven ability to create a high performance culture, ensuring accountability across your teams, instilling a disciplined focus and approach on the delivery of the strategy. A successful track record in leading a diverse curriculum portfolio in the education sector will be highly regarded.
