The Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy key purpose is to help the community and government make the best use of Queensland's renewable and non-renewable land, water, mineral and energy resources.
The Deputy Director-General, Policy will provide dynamic leadership and direction to the Policy division in the development of strategic policy across critical sectors of Queensland's economy, including land, water, mineral and energy. Through effective consultation with a variety of government agencies, key industry stakeholders, community and indigenous bodies the role will ensure competing industry, environmental, community and government expectations and priorities are met.
To be successful you will have proven strong professional leadership and management capabilities from within the natural resource, utilities or government sectors. Your experience in delivering public policy on behalf of Government as well as developing collaborative relationships across the public and private sector will also be an advantage in this role.
