Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation funded by the Australian Government to commission services to meet the health needs and priorities of our region.
Primary health care is recognised as the most effective way to keep communities and individuals healthy and well.
NQPHN works closely with communities across regional and remote Norther Queensland to deliver primary health care to a diverse group of people.
As Deputy CEO you will be responsible for assisting in the successful implementation of the Board's strategic plan, and providing leadership, direction and oversight across all operational activities and initiatives including clinical governance, service planning and commissioning management whilst ensuring long-term organisational sustainability. A focus will be required on ensure "best practice" processes across all areas of responsibilities.
Further, the role has a functional responsibility in developing oversight of all internal Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol program reporting systems - management reports, Board reports and departmental deliverables.
You will help shape and influence the culture, capability and success of the organisation, including achieving better integration and communication across teams.
To be considered you must demonstrate relevant and proven clinical practitioner experience in clinical governance in a community primary health care setting.
Previous experience in an Executive role or leadership role with equivalent responsibilities with the ability to work independently, and to organise and lead in a dynamic team environment are essential.
You will have acquired knowledge and experience in developing and maintaining relationships and systems that support the participation of consumers and communities in health services' decision-making processes.
Tertiary qualifications in a clinical or allied health discipline are essential.
