To support their growth plans, an opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Finance Professional to join the team, in a role that will see them working in partnership with the CFO and Executive Leaders across the business to achieve long-term sustainable growth.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for providing decision support and commercial insight to the business and CFO. Along with the provision of exceptional leadership to the direct reports within your team, you will play a key role within the finance leadership team with a focus on providing commercial support to drive business to deliver on their strategy. You key duties will include:

  • Drive commercial strategies and initiatives to grow profitability in markets
  • Execution of the planning, forecasting and analysis functions
  • Work with Corporate Accounting Team to ensure Financial Control
  • Provide financial modelling and analysis supporting projects, tenders, acquisitions and business development initiatives
  • Partner with the primary Business Unit teams and Finance Business Partners to prepare Business Unit (and Functional) plans and budgets
  • Provision of driving analysis for value add business insights and performance reporting
  • Ensure governance and compliance frameworks are adhered to
  • Identify areas of improvement for more effective commercial management practices
  • Use industry knowledge to establish appropriate benchmarks, support new initiatives and business cases and identify efficiencies, emerging trends and opportunities
  • Effectively manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure the timely delivery of key projects and promote active business partnering across the business

About you

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years' experience post CA/CPA qualification. Ideally this will have been gained within relatable industry sectors including building, construction, manufacturing or development. It is essential that you are a natural influencer with the ability to engage as a true business partner and have demonstrated experience in the evaluation and development of business cases to clearly articulate the benefits of identified opportunities or projects. You will have extensive experience in financial management and been in a role that has seen you manage a number of business improvement initiatives. To support your analytical abilities you have technical experience in accounting standards and a high level of efficiency with financial policy and process development. A genuine desire and commitment to improve the financial position of the organisation through the provision of sound commercial advice is essential.
