Ambulance Victoria (AV) is an emergency service that prides itself on giving our patients the right care at the right place at the right time. The leading edge clinical practice and lifesaving work of our paramedics underpins our purpose of improving the health outcomes of the Victorian community. AV is an integral component of the health care system and last year, almost one million people experiencing a health emergency called on AV for help. AV continues to evolve it's services to meet the growing and increasingly complex needs of Victorians. AV provides pre-hospital treatment and ambulance transport for people in urgent medical emergencies, and draws upon clinical expertise and experience to help resolve less-urgent medical issues.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Operations Officer leads a highly skilled team of over 4000 staff providing high quality ambulance and critical support services to the Victorian Community. A true operational leadership role you will ensure a collaborative approach to the delivery of integrated, effective and efficient services to community. Central to the success of the role will be the capacity to work alongside the organisation to develop a high performing culture, ensuring strong focus on OHS, workplace equality and engagement.
A proven executive within complex operational and geographically dispersed workforces, you thrive on a dynamic and collaborative environment. You have a proven track record of enhancing organisational performance and an ability to drive change effectively across an organisation. Your interpersonal ability allows you to build strong relationships with stakeholders and you have a leadership style that enables high performance work cultures.
