About the Role

In partnership with Priestley's Gourmet Holdings we are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the Executive Leadership team to provide management and leadership to the Finance team and perform Company Secretarial duties for both the Australian and New Zealand operations.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will drive the financial and operational strategy to ensure long term sustainability and growth of the organisation and take responsibility for all financial areas of the company. With 5 direct reports the CFO will provide leadership and guidance to the finance team which is a critical internal service function that assists the operation through the provision of ongoing analysis and advice.

The CFO is responsible for all financial areas of the company including ensuring the business's ongoing statutory compliance, consolidated financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, financial forecasts, cashflow management, expense management, foreign exchange management, IT, communications and capital reporting. Additionally, the CFO is responsible for establishing and enforcing proper accounting policies and procedures, and ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place to protect company assets and managing areas and issues affecting profit and maximizing return on invested capital.

About You

You are a qualified and experienced finance executive who has worked as a CFO or FC, ideally from a food production or manufacturing background. Your excellent technical knowledge is matched by a high level of commercial acumen and an in-depth understanding of the key drivers of an operational business.

You are a contemporary and versatile leader who balances the nurturing and cultivation of potential and drives your finance team to think broader than just producing numbers. You have developed a track record of developing a high-performance culture and team that is viewed by the operational arms of the business as a business partner and a real value adding function.
