About the Role
In partnership with Honeycombes Property Group, we are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the Executive Leadership team and drive the delivery of the organisation's vision, provide leadership in the implementation of necessary strategies and assist the owner/Directors in the commercial strategy for future planning. This may include negotiating debt, planning for funds management, equity and debt structures whilst managing all corporate service requirements.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide advice and drive efficiencies for optimisation of profitability. You will also oversee statutory compliances, financial management and evolve sound and reliable financial and reporting functions including daily bank balances, weekly/monthly periodic cash flow, profit & loss and balance sheet forecasts. Additionally, you will monitor and provide advice on various business risks including insurance structure, IT support and setup and assist with Company Secretarial Duties. The team have an appetite for ongoing growth through acquisition and you will take the financial lead on these projects.
You are a tertiary qualified finance professional, ideally from a property development and asset retention background, who holds membership with a recognised Australian Accounting Body. Your excellent technical knowledge is matched by a high level of commercial acumen and an in-depth understanding of the key drivers of an operational business.
You are a contemporary and versatile leader who balances the nurturing and cultivation of your team whilst driving them to think broader than just producing numbers. You have a track record of implementing a high level of corporate governance, identifying business process efficiencies and implementing strategic detailed asset management processes. You will have demonstrated ability to collaborate at an executive level and support the Managing Director in commercial negotiations. Sound understanding and experience using Estate Master will be highly regarded.
