Situated in a stunning part of the state of Victoria, surrounded by the Grampians and other Natural Sites, the Wimmera CMA, based out of Horsham, is responsible for ensuring that the natural resources in the region are managed in an integrated and ecologically sustainable way. As the CEO, your role would be extremely high profile and impactful in delivering lasting environmental change and enhanced livability for the community in the Wimmera region of Victoria. Reporting to the Wimmera CMA Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), will advocate for and deliver a diverse range of natural resource management projects, programs and activities that aim to improve and enhance the condition of the region's environment and the liveability of the community. You will also be charged with strategically implementing the Regional Catchment Strategy and associated sub-strategies and corporate plan. In conjunction, you will identify and generate alternate income streams while providing empowering leadership to your experienced and passionate staff. Additionally you will build upon existing (and establish new) partnerships with diverse stakeholder groups including, but not limited to, State and Federal Government Departments and Agencies; industry organisations; investors; landholders; traditional owners and the community.
As the CEO, you will be innovative and future focused and while advantageous, you don't need to come from a Natural Resource Management (NRM) background but you do need to be passionate about protecting the environment and community. You are a contemporary and engaging executive leader who is known for your relentless drive to achieve outstanding outcomes. You are recognised for your strategic, results orientated and entrepreneurial approach and you hold formidable financial and governance skills and political nous. Your naturally engaging style and interpersonal skills allow you to quickly form credible and respectful relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and you are known for your capacity to engage, empower and build high performing teams.
