Job Description

  • One of Australia's Largest Profit for Purpose Organisations
  • Diverse Service Delivery with $300million+ Turnover
  • Brand new Geelong Based Head Office

genU is a diverse and innovative organisation that represents the rich histories of two trusted organisations: Karingal and St Laurence Community Services. "For more than 65 years, we've been entrusted to provide support and services to thousands of people in the areas of disability, aged care and employment. We do this by high quality service delivery and empowering our clients through choice." With over 3000 staff across 200 branches across Australia, an annual turnover of $300+ million, genU is one of Australia's leading community organisations. Continuing on a path of sustainable growth the organisation is now seeking a strategic CEO to lead this diverse organisation into the future.

Working closely with the supportive and engaged genU Board, the CEO will provide long term strategic leadership to the entire organisation, bringing together the diverse services and delivering on the well-articulated 2019-2024 Strategic Plan. Working extensively on promoting a strong culture that is client focused and underpinned by integrity and transparency, the role will ensure that people, structure and systems are all well aligned in achieving this. A true leadership role, you'll be expected to be highly visible in the community and lead from the front in developing the capability of the passionate team of staff and volunteers.

Highly regarded as a strategic and people focused leader, you have demonstrated executive experience in leading an organisation through a period of growth whilst importantly developing a culture which people were proud of. You may bring a diverse range of industry experience, but ideally have an appreciation and understanding for regulated service delivery environments and be comfortable in a complex operation. You are considered by others to be a humble and honest leader and you draw energy and enthusiasm from making a difference in people's lives. You have worked closely with Boards in the past and understand the importance of transparency and the immense value which can come from a true partnership approach. Excited by the significant opportunity to lead genU, don't let this opportunity pass you by.
