About the Company

The Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA), is a self-funded, state government statutory authority that provides tenancy information and support, bond management, dispute resolution, investigation, and policy and education services. RTA's vision is "Renting that works for everyone".

About the Role

Working across all sector groups including tenants, property managers and owners, community and industry stakeholder groups and the Queensland Government the RTA is responsible for the administration of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (the Act).

With a focus on enchaining the customer experience and ensuring contemporary and effective practice and collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) will develop, implement and advance the digital strategy and roadmaps, ensuring alignment of the technology environment to achieve the RTA's strategy and direction.

The key requirements of the CDO are to:

  • lead the implementation and advancement of the RTA "Digital Strategy"
  • provide high level strategic advice to the RTA Board, CEO and the RTA executive leadership team
  • contribute to leadership development across the Digital Business Centre and other divisions
  • support an agile culture of business excellence and exceptional customer service.

About You

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will have demonstrated effective leadership in a customer focused organisation with highly streamlined business information systems in a regulated environment.

You will be comfortable operating at senior levels of government and have successfully developed and managed key stakeholder relationships across both the business sector and the community. With proven commercial acumen and financial management skills as well as an understanding of how to maximize digital technologies, you will be able to inspire and lead a collaborative team.
