Our client is a leading edge, values-based services organisation that prides itself on delivering beyond the expectations of Melbourne's diverse communities. To ensure they remain at the forefront, our client is currently undergoing considerable growth in the hospitality area of the business and looking at new and innovative ways to grow their hospitality and catering offerings.

As a key part of a dynamic and innovative team, this role will report directly to the Hospitality Services Manager. In this newly created role as Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust and innovative hospitality and catering framework to drive new and creative service offerings to clients. This framework will assist you in achieving business financial goals through the growth of the current hospitality offerings. In conjunction with the sales team, you will coordinate entertainment programs throughout the year for clients. This may involve individual and joint activities with the whole sales team.

To be considered, you will have a proven track record in hospitality sales gained within a large fast paced, hotel, restaurant or conferencing centre. You are known as a visionary, innovative and strategic Sales Manager who builds trust and credibility through your natural engaging style. You are the type of person who consistently looks at ways of doing things smarter and effectively to ensure profitability of the business. Understanding the customer's needs to meet the broader business objectives is at the forefront of everything you do. A solid understanding of, and ability to compile and interpret hospitality and sales financial performance reports is essential.

A current Australian Driver's License is a requirement for this role.
