You will be reporting directly to the owners of the business and managing the full Accounting and Finance function. About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Receivable, including client follow-up on outstanding payments and allocating payments to the correct customer accounts in MYOB and Databuild
  • Accounts Payable process of all Invoices
  • Monthly payroll of up to 40 staff
  • Setting up of all projects in Databuild
  • Weekly reporting of Project Turnover/Margin from leasing with Site Manager
  • Entry of receipts from bank statement into the system
  • Reporting of daily deposits received to Sales Manager and Owner
  • Monthly Allocation of Turnover/Margin (current month and finalisation of prior periods)
  • Credit Card Reconciliation in Databuild
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Monthly Accruals
  • Payroll of 40 staff and entry of payroll journals from MYOB to Databuild
  • GST/rebates/payroll tax and FBT on company vehicles
  • Oversee and support the Account/admin officer

About You

  • The ideal candidate will have previous construction experience or proven experience with progress claims
  • Experience building lasting relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers of businesses
  • 3-5 years' experience within Accounting - CPA (non-essential)
  • Knowledge/experience in MYOB would be desired
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication with high attention to detail
  • Ability to build key relationships with key stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to be flexible around busy times (month-end / year-end)
  • Proven experience within MS Word / Excel and Outlook is essential
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to multitask and add value to a great culture
