Working across multiple industries such as construction, property, retail and defence they offer a fast paced and challenging environment for their employees.  To assist in the continued the success within the organisation we are looking to on-board an experienced Senior Payroll Officer, who is seeking the prospect of utilising your skills to ensure the on-going financial health of the business.

About the Role:

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible preparing and processing payroll for staff in accordance with a number of different awards and EBA’s. Furthermore, you will be able to apply your skills across database management, resolving queries accurately, reporting and reconciliation in a fast-paced payroll team environment.
As the Senior Payroll Officer, you will oversee the work of two payroll officers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative team where the focus is on support, development and fun!

In addition, your key duties will include:
  • Completing legislative requirements, including PAYG, Superannuation, Qleave and WorkCover
  • Assisting employees with payroll related queries
  • Providing support to management with month-end tasks  
  • Contributing to process and system improvements
  • Perform end to end weekly and monthly processing of payroll
  • Reconciling and balancing payroll accounts at end of month and end of year

About you:

To be successful in securing this role it is essential you have experience processing payroll in an organisation with an employee base in excess of 700 employees. Prior experience in interpreting multiple EBA and awards, and managing this on a day to day basis will be ideal.  It is also essential for you to have intermediate Excel skills and competencies with large payroll systems.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to liaise confidently with colleagues along with the ability to effectively manage your reporting team of 2.
