The Design Studio is the City of Melbourne’s centre of excellence for design. It includes the Urban Design and Design Review, Landscape, Architecture and Industrial Design teams working in close collaboration to ensure continuity of design vision and integrity from project conception through to implementation. We are seeking an innovative leader to provide strategic, trustworthy professional advice to Councillors, the Executive and Management Leadership Teams and support and guidance to their multi-disciplinary team.
To be successful in this role, you will be an accomplished leader who has managed and run a multi-disciplinary private practice and who is technically sound in architecture and urban design principles. You are adept at building and maintaining collaborative relationships and instilling confidence with senior stakeholders such as Councillors or a Board, CEO, Executive leadership teams and project teams. You are recognized for your creative thinking and ability to build high functioning collaborative teams. Furthermore your contemporary approach allows you to identify better efficiencies in design, systems and processes and ensuring design and delivery are seamless processes.
