As the primary funder, service provider and asset operator of Queensland’s social housing portfolio the Division is responsible for 72,000 dwellings, of which 84 per cent are owned and the balance managed by the community and not-for-profit sector.
The Executive Director, Programs is responsible for leading and managing government programs to build the products and services to deliver positive housing and homelessness outcomes. The role will also lead the development and implementation of initiatives and projects designed to assist people to enter and remain in the private housing market.
A key focus is developing, planning, designing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining programs and projects to drive improvements. This will include building partnerships, capacity and capability. You will also manage large scale investments and oversee key Commonwealth and State funded projects.
You will be required to possess effective strategic and executive leadership skills and senior management capabilities and be adept at stakeholder engagement through influencing and your superlative communication skills.
As a results oriented leader in a large and complex organisation, you will have extensive experience across the public, private and/or not-for-profit sector and you will have a strong background in strategy and policy implementation, service delivery, and client service. A proven agent of change in challenging environments you will have been successful in fostering a confident and capable workforce.
