About the Company
Davidson are a preferred supplier for the government sector and have strong partnerships within local, state and federal government. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Workplace Rehabilitation Coordinator to commence a temporary contract.
About the Role:
Aa a Workplace Rehabilitation Coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring stay at work and return to work processes for work and non-work-related injuries are followed and to provide the best outcomes for injured workers.

  • Negotiate with injured/ill workers, managers, supervisors, medical and allied health providers for the best stay at work or return to work outcome
  • Assist in identifying suitable duties and develop return to work plans in consultation with injured/ill workers, managers, supervisors, medical and allied health providers
  • Assist with ergonomic assessments where more complex issues are raised, and to implement effective strategies to assist with the reduction in work related injuries
  • Collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners and Health and Safety Advisors in the People and Culture Branch on the management of overlapping issues relating to stay at work and return to work processes
  • Maintenance of the Pre-Employment Functional Assessment Program and liaise with Councils provider on any identified opportunities to improve the process
  • Maintain case notes and suitable duties plans that are factual, up-to-date, comprehensive and free of opinions or irrelevant matters
  • Maintain records for workers compensation claims
  • Provide details to the insurer in relation to information and evidence that can contribute to a decision about a claim
  • Maintain regular communication with workers and management about claims status
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of workers compensation procedures
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in Workplace Health and Safety and Workers Compensation
  • Early intervention, Stay at / Return to Work & case management
  • Strong stakeholder and client engagement
  • Highly organised and responsive
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess a high attention to detail
