Our client is a reputed premium global IT provider that delivers world class solutions for enterprise and government clients. Currently we have an urgent requirement for a Senior Network Engineer to commence a greenfield networking project based in Melbourne CBD. You will have a strong network engineering background and the focus of this role is on Nexus, Palo Alto and Cisco ISE technologies.

Your roles key duties include:
  • Design, install, maintain and support LAN, WAN, VoIP, infrastructure at all sites.
  • Undertake daily maintenance, reporting and monitoring of IT infrastructure, Security and associated technologies.
  • Analyse information collected from monitoring systems, determine current security posture, data centre stability and usage, and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Coordinate the deployment and relocation of data, VoIP, SIP, servers, switches, NBN and associated technologies at Electorate Offices. Working closely with SEPU and EOs to ensure all services are delivered according to the relocation schedules.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise to project and technology initiatives across the organisation, working with project staff and key stakeholders to ensure a satisfactory outcome of these initiatives
To be considered for this role, you will have:
  • Proven project based experience in infrastructure management, network design, IT facilities management, asset management, knowledge management, and financial management.
  • Proven experience with the majority of the following technologies – Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD), Cisco technologies including CUCM, Translation Patterns, SRST, Unity, Presence, IM, ExpressWay, Gateways H323/MGCP, SIP, CUBE, Extension Mobility, Wireless LAN Controllers (Cisco WLC), Routing & Switching, Cisco Nexus switching platform, Active Directory, ADFS.
  • Experience with F5 Technologies and VMWare is desirable
  • Proven experience in driving customer focussed excellence by working in collaboration with team members and taking responsibility to meet client’s needs by applying lateral thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to communicate across a broad technical and non-technical audience with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement and ability to influence others with regard to using technology to drive business improvements.
  • Proven experience to manage small to medium IT projects including the development of project scopes and briefs within broad parameters, stakeholder management, and change management.
 QUALIFICATIONS
  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, or related IT discipline.
  • CCNA Routing & Switching - Mandatory
  • CCNP Collaboration – Mandatory
  • CCNP Routing & Switching – Desirable
