Leading a capable team, you will engage, empower and inspire your workforce to deliver exceptional customer service and to work collaboratively to achieve outcomes both for the organisation and the community. Bringing a growth focused leadership approach, you will build the agility, flexibility and capability of your team that expands their contribution, utilisation and job satisfaction.
In this role you will have the opportunity to report directly to the CEO and will work closely with Councillors, the Senior Leadership Team, Managers and staff as a key trusted advisor that is able to provide sound advice and support in relation to marketing and communications.
With an integrated marketing and communications approach being developed across all communications planning, you will be focused on driving implementation to ensure a strategic marketing approach is taken to enhance the organisation’s reputation and improve how the community relates to Whitehorse City Council.
To be successful in this role you will have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly forge strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will possess a strong understanding of contemporary marketing and communications practices and some knowledge in the customer experience (CX) space would be advantageous.
You have an outcomes focus, a high level of personal resilience and well developed political astuteness. Local government experience isn’t a must have but would be advantageous to hitting the ground running.
