In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Manager People & Culture and support the delivery of strategic projects whilst taking ownership of the operational service teams including payroll, recruitment and projects.
Leading a small team, you will drive a shift in service levels and move the team from a transactional approach to one that adds value at every opportunity. Through enhancing the reporting and data systems, your team will be able to inform decision making across the organisation through the provision of information and insights.
With the competition for talent continuing to increase, you will focus on lifting the organisational branding for attracting talent, enhancing the overall recruitment approach and ensuring the on-boarding and induction approach is exceptional.
Finally you will take ownership of the budget for People Services and your role will encompass broad functions such as audit, risk management, procurement, reporting, system management and some key policies.
To be successful in this role, you will thrive on a fast paced environment, love a challenge and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Possessing a generalist HR background will be an advantage as well as experience with continuous improvement and supporting key projects that result in a contemporary HR function.
Local government experience isn’t a must have but would be advantageous as you will be joining an organisation that delivers a very diverse range of services and continues to strive to deliver exceptional service and outcomes for the community of Monash.
