Davidson is currently partnering with an established organisation, who has led the way in over 50’s living in Australia. With a focus on enhancing lifestyle and providing high level products to their clients, they have a significant pipeline of projects.  

The company develops community’s from greenfield land into vibrant ongoing communities for which they provide all commercial facilities and ongoing support for the communities they own and operate.  

Working exclusively with Davidson, our client is currently seeking an experienced General Manager of Communities to join the team.


About the Role


Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be accountable for the leadership, strategy and success of the existing communities. You will ultimately be in charge of the ongoing customer experience and ownership of the brand.
 
The responsibilities of the role will include (but will not be limited to):
 
  • Accountable for community structure from ramp up to established community
  • Chair and/or be a key part of community committees
  • Establish events for home owner delight
  • Brand ambassador within communities
  • Manage and grow internal stakeholder relationships across the wider business
  • Anticipate and mitigate community activities
  • Accountable for legal set up for project site agreements
  • Negotiate major expenditure with committee and home owners
  • Team leadership of Community Managers (approx. 10 direct reports)
  • Reinforce important of applied regulations with key stakeholders
  • Foster customer advocacy and referrals
  • Community policy management

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have proven capabilities and strengths in the following competencies:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Health or Property
  • Leadership experience within a community environment  (not limited to property
  • High level negotiation ability
  • Communication
  • Proven leadership level across business judgement and adherence
  • Resilience
  • Strong Emotional Intelligence
