Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, RRV, this role will complement their skill set and become the regional and rural policy lead across the Victorian Government. A key member of the RRV executive team, the position drives policy reform utilising greater levels of business intelligence and evidence and influences the approach of other departments in regional policy. Bringing together a newly formed group, you will provide strategic leadership, clarity of purpose and direction to the staff and invest in their capability uplift to meet the future needs of the Branch. With a mandate for looking at more contemporary approaches, you will actively explore innovations in this field and also lead a number of strategic projects.
As a highly regarded policy professional, you bring a wealth of experience across the public sector, utilising evidence to influence the policy direction for the betterment of our community. You are known to be a connector of people and have an engaging interpersonal style which has seen you build strong networks and credibility with stakeholders across government. This in turn has seen you engage effectively with everyone from the Minister through to regional stakeholders in the field. You are a values driven leader and take pride in what you do and have been able to truly engage and inspire teams to achieve. Politically astute, you understand how to effect change and appreciate the importance of this role in facilitating the voice of regional and rural Victoria in policy.
