Liverpool Plains Shire is a vibrant and economically strong rural area located just 45 minutes south of the regional centre of Tamworth and four hours north of Sydney.

Serving a population of around 8,000 residents, Liverpool Plains Shire Council has an annual budget of approximately $25m and a staff of 132.
The role of interim Works & Assets Manager is to manage the operation of Councils Civil Works branch including budget development, financial control, forward planning and staff supervision. The role will additionally encompass the execution and delivery of councils short and long term works programs together with coordinating geotechnical investigation, survey, design and project management.
To be successful in this role it is expected that the successful applicant will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and be able to demonstrate requisite experience in a similar position. Detailed understanding and experience in pavement engineering, investigation and structural design methodologies would be preferable.
