About the Organisation
Davidson is proud to be partnered with the City of Port Phillip in search for an experienced Project Manager Transport Services. This newly created, career boosting position will play an imperative role in some of Melbourne's most exciting 'city shaping' transport projects. This program of works will serve thousands of people and support sustainable growth and development in the Domain Precinct for generations to come.
City of Port Phillip is an extremely popular inner-city area of Melbourne, attracting more than 2.8 million visitors every year and with the population expected to increase by more than 20% in the next 10 years- we want to ensure the quality of our transport choices continues to be of an exceptional standard for the community. These major transport projects will help ensure residents, workers and visitors have lots of travel choices that support Melbourne's much celebrated liveability, promotes people's individual health and wellbeing and contributes to the City's economy.
The Melbourne Metro is a new underground rail network currently under construction. The network will include a number of loop stations including the new Anzac Station in the St Kilda Road Domain Precinct. The station will be a landmark design, bringing significant public transport benefits to the Domain area. During construction, Council in partnership with state government is managing the impacts of disruption and maximising opportunities to improve the infrastructure and landscape amenity of the Domain Precinct.
In addition to this, the St Kilda Road tram line is one of the busiest corridors in the world and will interchange with the station precinct. The St Kilda Rd bike corridor is an extremely popular transport route, with significant state government investment committed toward the planning, design and delivery of an improved bike corridor along the length of St Kilda Rd, integrating into the ANZAC station precinct and beyond. In addition the proposed Shrine to Sea boulevard corridor project is a committed state government infrastructure project which will connect the Domain precinct to the Bay – to be designed as a distinctive cycle, pedestrian and landscaped boulevard.
