In this role, you will take a pro-active approach to providing advice to the organisation on any future changes and implications related to the Local Government Act and practical implications. You will form strong relationships with the executive team and provide comprehensive support, advice and knowledge to guide them in the areas of governance and risk management.
 
Overseeing multiple functions, you will empower and uplift your workforce and build a high performance team culture. With a focus on developing capability and providing strategic direction for the team, results will flow quickly as the team buys-in and realises its potential.
 
Finally, you will enhance the communications function and refine the approach taken to ensure the outputs are achieving the objectives of the organisation and meeting the needs of the community when it comes to information being dispersed effectively.
 
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a depth of experience working within a local government context and understand the nature of the operating environment. You are respected for the strategic advice and guidance you have provided to organisations you have worked within and are known for your strong understanding of governance. You are energised by building relationships and take a pro-active approach to engaging with all areas of a business. You have a track record of developing high performance team cultures and achieving results through empowering people.
