Davidson are a preferred supplier for the government sector and have strong partnerships within local, state and federal government.  We have a number of upcoming opportunities within Queensland Government across key departments. We are looking for reliable and professional Human Resource/Payroll Officers who are available immediately.

About the Role

A temporary opportunity has arisen for a highly sought after QLD department. This human Resource Officer role is based on the Brisbane city fringe and requires a start later this month. This is best suited to an experienced HR/Payroll Officer who has strong capabilities in end to end payroll and working with Aurion.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the wider team and their overflow of duties
  • Produce a wide range of payroll and HRIS based reports and statistics within strict adhoc and scheduled timeframes
  • Undertake and deliver a range of people and payroll services to a range of customer groups
  • Manage Aurion Self Service module, including attending to staff enquiries and monitoring requests for audit purposes
  • Administer and coordinate testing and implementation of payroll system service pack upgrades to a strict schedule and budget
  • Manage system maintenance, payroll processes, workflow audits, data quality assessments and the development of user manuals, procedures and guidelines
  • Prepare draft upgrade plans, coordinating IT and vendor resources, testing activities and recording system defects
  • Contribute to a positive and engaging working environment
  • Maintain, update and verify accurate computerised and manual people and payroll data, including maintaining contractor records, deduction and pay reconciliations, organisation restructures and other relevant processing activities within strict timeframes
About You
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll and people services
  • Experience utilising Microsoft Office and Aurion
  • Manage all written and verbal communications both internally and externally to the business
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Contribute to team outcomes and effective working relationships
  • High level problem solving skills
  • Make case recommendations
  • Understanding of excel principals and report generation
