Gertrude Biomedical is a young biotechnology company, started in Melbourne, passionate about developing novel therapeutics to treat serious human vascular diseases.  Bringing together scientific and medical experts in the field and supported by private equity partners, Gertrude Biomedical has a strong strategic plan to deliver exceptional outcomes over the next five years.
 
The Project Manager will report to and work closely with the CEO and Executive, and will project manage the drug discovery development program. This will include business planning, execution, monitoring and completion of therapeutic development as well as project timelines, grant applications, reporting and general administration. The Project Manager will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are developed and documented, manage appropriate resources and develop operational procedures when required.
 
As the successful candidate you will have a BSc (majoring in chemistry or biochemistry), ideally with post graduate qualifications and/ or experience in a commercially focused, scientific environment. You will have previous experience in project management having developed project plans, managed cross functional work streams, vendors and budgets.
 
Excellent written communication skills will be a key strength, as will your strong interpersonal skills dealing with individuals across all levels.  You will be results driven, with the ability to influence, consult and report on projects in a timely manner. Furthermore, you will be able to adapt to changing demands and stay up to date with relevant regulatory guidance and industry best practice requirements applicable to GLP non-clinical studies. Passion, honesty and integrity will be key attributes in the success of this role.
