The role
Reporting to the Coordinator Creative Studio and forming part of the Communications and Marketing Unit, which is part of the Innovation and Organisational Improvement department, the Graphic Designer will play a key role in providing sound advice and expertise to the organisation to foster a high standard of forward thinking and innovation of the City of Ballarat’s visual communication which meet the City’s strategic goals and requirements. This will include but not be limited to a range of digital and printed collateral designed for various online platforms, advertising and promotional material, corporate collateral and City signage.

With a focus on major projects, services and events of the City of Ballarat and Council, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for ensuring the corporate visual image and branding of the City of Ballarat is vibrant, consistent, professional and viewed positively by the community.
 
About you
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the City of Ballarat are seeking a dynamic and innovative graphic designer with experience working in a similar graphic design role implementing brand and corporate guidelines; producing a range of marketing and promotional materials. Furthermore you will bring knowledge and experience in using graphic design programs including the Adobe Suite and a demonstrated capacity to keep abreast of new innovations and emerging trends. You will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement capabilities with the confidence to navigate complex relationships both internal and external to your organisation. Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design are expected as is proven experience working in a graphic design role within a fast paced complex environment.
