Davidson are a preferred supplier for the government sector and have strong partnerships within local, state and federal government.  We have a number of upcoming opportunities within Queensland Government across key departments. We are looking for reliable and professional market transaction officers who are available immediately.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of QLD’s leading government departments for a temporary two month assignment. This opportunity is best suited to a confident and experienced Principal Analyst within Economic Evaluation. Exposure to local, federal or government would play a large part of your success in the role, however it is not vital that you have this. You will be autonomous within certain aspects of the role but will find support through your team and senior peers. This is based in Brisbane CBD close to public transport.  

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver appropriate advice where necessary
  • Manage and undertake the provision of superior quality value-for-money, bench marking and economic impact assessments of industry and infrastructure projects and proposals that are seeking financial incentive
  • Co-ordinate responses to Queensland- related foreign investment proposals and provide adequate responses
  • Develop strategies for policy development and compliance accountabilities consistent with the organisational direction and departmental strategies
  • Ensure departmental standards are met
  • Assist with commercial assessments and funding agreement development, as required
  • Manage and undertake economic evaluation bench marking, crowding out
  • Complete project assessment using in-house economic modelling techniques and tools and program guidelines
  • Lead and manage staff and project teams (when required) and provide support to the Director as required
  • Undertake related and other duties of equivalent complexity as required
About You
  • Government experience is desirable
  • Ability to actively and collaboratively engage with and work with a range of stakeholders
  • Written and verbal communication is clear and concise
  • Strong and open communication skills, including confidence in presenting factual material
  • Actively and attentively listens to others
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Use analysis, experience and judgement to make informed decisions
