The Department is looking to appoint an experienced Program Management professional to lead the National Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program.  This role is critical to the success of the Biosecurity Queensland’s response and ultimate success.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the program to achieve the required eradication outcomes and provide policy advice in relation to the management of the program. Partnering with other Departments across Government in addition to Local Councils, Industry and Community groups, you will co-ordinate the delivery of the program’s response, ensuring that resources are matched to activities to manage risk and ensure return on investment.

The scale, scope and challenges presented by this portfolio provides an opportunity for a Program Management specialist to bring together policy and practical delivery to benefit the Queensland community. Your proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire large teams, partner with government and industry as well as deliver contemporary practices, frameworks and systems will be key to achieving success in this role.
