About the Role
With an expanding project portfolio of more than $800 million, HPW are seeking an exceptional Project Manager to hit the ground running on the Cairns Convention Centre expansion and refurbishment project that has a budget in excess of $170 million.
This major project is a high profile government priority with complex stakeholders and requires a Project Manager with first-hand experience in delivering similar value complex major government and non-government projects.
As a Project Manager within the Projects Delivery team, the role will focus on delivering the Cairns Convention Centre expansion and refurbishment project, by undertaking negotiations with stakeholders, collaborating with senior government officers and managing and resolving issues associated with project development and delivery. This is a Brisbane based role, with some travel to Cairns.
You will have a strong understanding of project brief and design development processes, cost planning, programming, construction methodology, building contracts, development approval processes and legislation relating to the building industry.
Additionally, a comprehensive knowledge of project management and contract administration processes associated with large, complex, construction projects and traditional and non-traditional contracts is required.
Lastly, you will have demonstrated success in project managing the procurement of major government and/or non-government construction projects.
