Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Director Customer and Corporate Services, this role will take responsibility for the City’s financial performance management and integration of its long term financial planning across the organisation. Stitching together both the short and longer term planning, you will bring an activity based costing approach to financial analyses and have a strong ability to use data to drive decision making.
The role will require you to provide leadership to a team of staff, encouraging innovation in service delivery and business partnership. A high performance culture will be developed with staff feeling empowered and supported to be a key enabler for the business as they transition to a new way of working as business partners.
To be successful in this role you will be a CPA/CA qualified and have a track record of effectively transitioning a team into a business partner model. You have strong analysis and forecasting skills and the ability to engage effectively with senior level stakeholders. Your experience spans many aspects of finance with a demonstrated ability to work at both strategic and operational levels.
