Reporting to the CEO, this key executive role will be pivotal to further strengthening the relationship between the Council, Council Plan, the Business Operating Model and Service Planning. Leading Governance, Communications, Community Engagement and Strategic Planning this dynamic portfolio will be responsible for the City’s continued provision of best practice integrated performance planning and monitoring, overseeing the strategic direction of the organisation, communications and brand management.  Additionally, the provision of integrated strategy and governance advice to the organisation will continue to enhance organisational and community outcomes. 
 
You have a strong background in legal or governance services and you also bring sound understanding of strategy development, performance monitoring, reporting and project management.  Further, you have a sound understanding of contemporary communication and marketing practices.  Well regarded for your proven interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, you have the ability to use discretion and judgment in a complex business and political environment.  Finally you have well developed leadership, analytical and change management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build a positive, inclusive and values based culture.
