The Melbourne Zoo, the oldest Zoo in Australia, is located in the beautiful leafy Parkville area and welcomes approximately 1.3 million visitors per year.
As the Senior Manager Visitor Excellence you will lead a large team to define what an outstanding visitor experience looks like for customers of Melbourne Zoo and implement this vision of customer experience.
With a focus on enhancing the digital and in-zoo experience, new technology and opportunities will be embraced that create positive experiences and memories for visitors whilst delivering value to the success of the zoo in the short and longer term.
In this role you will oversee the schools program and find opportunities to enhance this program to deliver greater outcomes that align to the vision and values of Zoos Victoria.
Finally you will bring a new perspective and identify opportunities for upselling opportunities, cross-selling and delivering greater value to the Zoos mission through activations and events. Essentially, you will find ways to derive greater value from customers whilst delivering an unforgettable experience.
To be successful in this role you will have experience managing a team to innovate and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You have a design thinking approach, experience with digital communication to enhancing processes and customer experiences and may have had some exposure to LEAN. You are an effective communicator, have the ability to build strong relationships and can drive change through connecting people with the “why”.
