The Trust was established in 2018 to be responsible for the planning, development, management, operation, care, promotion and use of the reserve for the purposes of racing, recreation and a public park. With a strong agenda to increase community accessibility and a strong commercial focus, the Trust is responsible for setting the strategic objectives, directions and a long term plan for the future. As a result of this start up an opportunity now exists for a General Manager to drive this highly visible landmark.
As General Manager, you will report to the Trust and will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Trust’s Land Management Plan (LMP). In doing so you will lead a strategic and planned approach to stakeholder engagement to consult and ensure adequate involvement in the LMP development so that it is accepted and approved. You will lead a high caliber small team as well as consultants ensuring the organisation fulfills its reporting, governance and statutory requirements and that commercial leases and contract negotiations are sustainable.
To be successful you will have experience managing complex and highly visible projects within diverse multiple stakeholders environments. You are known for your gravitas, entrepreneurial and proactive style as well as your natural ability to see the bigger picture. You are a collaborative and inclusive leader and possess clear communication skills.
