The Executive Director, Medical Services and Clinical Governance (CMO) will report directly to the CEO and will provide professional and clinical leadership of the medical workforce across Peninsula Health whilst driving a supportive, inclusive and highly driven culture. As the clinical public face of the organisation, the ED MSCG will actively lead the delivery of the strategic plan and establish a framework to deliver on the educational strategy of the organisation. The ED MSCG will also be responsible for pharmacy, radiology, pathology, quality and clinical governance, medical work force planning, and will play a key role in driving an innovative research portfolio and the growth of the medical workforce.

 As a qualified Medical Practitioner, with additional tertiary qualifications in leadership and administrative management, the ED MSCG will ideally have experience as a Medical Director and Executive Administrator. Strong stakeholder engagement will be key to the success of this role, building relationships with industry bodies, universities and other relevant organisations to lead change and reform in the sector. Additional key attributes will include the ability to provide empowering leadership, be an active member of a supportive executive team, demonstrate compassion, integrity, respect for all and a genuine passion for achieving the best outcomes for staff and community.
