In this role you will drive a strong shift in focus in relation to contract management and service delivery. Through empowering the workforce, you will find the right mix of outsourced and insourced service delivery moving forward, ensuring the community receives what they need now and well into the future.
As the leader of a workforce of approximately 30 people, you will empower your supervisor team to take ownership for their areas and provide support to ensure they grow and develop their capabilities to achieve great results. In addition to the coaching and mentoring role you will play, you will also have the opportunity to recruit a new Coordinator into your team in the first couple of months on the job.
Taking leadership of the operational areas within Infrastructure maintenance for the organisation and community, you will ensure the outsourced contracting company is delivering on their obligations and the contract with this organisation is managed effectively. You will report on performance to Council, ensuring that key objectives are being achieved and that the leadership team and Council are well informed on activities happening across the municipality.
To be considered a strong candidate for this role, you will bring strong leadership and management skillset and have a demonstrated record of leading high performance operational teams. Possessing an engineering background and having exposure to civil works, you have experience in managing a diverse range of services and leading a customer focused culture that achieves results. You are effective at working across an organisation and developing positive working relationships with others and are known for your great communication style and skills.
